University Recreation offers a variety of programming for those looking to stay active during the summer. Whether you are trying to beat the heat indoors or spend time outside in the Natural State, UREC has something for everyone.

Group fitness classes will begin Tuesday, May 29 through Friday, July 27. There are currently over 50 classes scheduled throughout the week with various formats and class times. View the full summer group fitness schedule.

University of Arkansas students, faculty, and staff are eligible to take Group Fitness classes at no cost. All other UREC membership types must purchase a Semester Group Fitness Pass for $40, which includes Group Fitness for both facilities. All classes are available on a drop-in basis.

UREC is also offering Small Group Training Classes from Monday, June 4 through Thursday, July 26, in the HPER. This summer, Fitness/Wellness will be offering UREC RazorFitness which combines cardio and strength. Each week builds on the progress made in the previous session. Small Group Training classes are $25 for students and $35 for UREC members. These classes are more individualized than large group fitness classes, but still have a community feel with up to six participants per class.

Registration for summer intramural sports opens Wednesday, May 23. The offerings include three v. three basketball and sand volleyball. Eligible players must be enrolled in summer classes on-campus or pre-enrolled for fall '18 classes and have a summer membership. Visit Fusion IM to register.

UREC Outdoors has an equipment rental center that includes camping and boating gear, as well as bikes and stand up paddle boards. The climbing and bouldering wall are also open throughout the summer.

For injury prevention and treatment, the UREC Sports Injury Clinic is available to the University of Arkansas community and UREC members on an appointment-only basis. To schedule an appointment with UREC's athletic training staff, please e-mail Avery Rotenberry at karotenb@uark.edu.
