UAPD Makes Annual Awards For Outstanding Service in 2017

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas Police Department presented its annual awards for Outstanding Service to the department and campus community during 2017.

Detective David Robertson was named Employee of the Year.

Patrolman Ryan Barber earned Officer of the Year honors.

Corporal David Nguyen received three awards: the Customer Service Award, for community oriented policing; the Physical Fitness Award; and the Marksmanship Award.

Meritorious Service Awards were given to Dispatcher Silvia Alarcon, Detective Sid Ramirez and Detectove David Robertson and Captain Matt Mills.

The Civilian Service Award was presented to Debbie Abshier, administrative support supervisor.

Chris McCoy, chief information officer and associate vice chancellor for IT Services was given the Coveted Badge Award, which recognizes outstanding support and contributions to the success of the UAPD by an individual outside the department.
