Karen Jennings Retiring After 37-Year Career
After 37 years of dedicated service to the University of Arkansas, Karen Jennings is retiring as the UAConnect training coordinator. To celebrate her tenure, a reception is being held on Tuesday, June 19 at Uptown Campus East.
Karen joined the student information system implementation team as the system trainer in 2003 when it was called ISIS. During the ensuing years, she has mentored faculty, staff and students in the use of UAConnect and UAConnect Reporting.
She previously worked in Financial Affairs where she was a technical writer, an accountant and an accounting supervisor. Karen is a member of the Employee Development Advisory Council and has served on the Staff Senate as a senator and chair.
Karen has also been active in a number of professional organizations including the Society of Technical Communicators, the Higher Education User Group and the South Central HEUG Regional User Group.
Karen's friends and colleagues are invited to attend the reception from 3-5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 19 in UPTE 274. Refreshments will be served.
