Sections of Maple Street and Stadium Drive Closed to Traffic Starting Monday

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Maple Street will be closed to most traffic from Razorback Road to Garland Avenue beginning Monday, June 25. It is scheduled to reopen Wednesday, Aug. 8.

The northern-most section of Stadium Drive, starting at the Maple St. intersection, will also be closed beginning June 25 and is set to reopen on  Aug. 25. The entrance to the Stadium Drive parking garage can still be accessed from the south part of Stadium Drive.

Through traffic on Razorback Road will be routed to Cleveland Street and then to Garland Avenue.

People will still be able to drive to the Administration Building, its pull off area and parking lot 26 on Maple Street, but will have to approach from the Garland Avenue intersection.

The construction work will improve the safety of the intersection at Stadium Drive and Maple Street. It is the first phase of a project that will be executed in two phases. The second phase will take place next summer, adding turn lanes and a traffic signal at the Razorback Road and Maple Street intersection.
