Polly Parnell, assistant vice chancellor for finance, has assumed a new role as associate chief information officer (CIO) effective immediately. In this role, Parnell will report to the CIO and take responsibility for the implementation of Workday at the University of Arkansas.

"Polly has vast experience at the university which will enable her to bring clarity to how BASIS and UAConnect interface as we move toward increased coordination and integration with Workday," said Chris McCoy, vice chancellor for finance and administration. "My expectation is that Polly will serve as the lead for coordination with the UA System throughout the Workday project."

In her new role, the BASIS and UAConnect teams will report directly to Parnell. She will continue to have involvement with the office of the vice chancellor for finance and administration with a dotted line report to the vice chancellor for finance and administration.

The University of Arkansas System selected Workday as the new solution for enterprise resource planning (ERP). This solution will modernize financial and human resource processes at more than 15 institutions across the state, including the replacement of BASIS at the Fayetteville campus.

Additional information can be found on the UA System ERP Project website.
