New Human Resources Certificate Program

The Human Resources Certificate Program is designed to help participants gain a solid foundation in HR principles, policies, and practices to better serve our employees and to develop skills needed for career advancement. Topics covered will include hiring process and posting positions, Title IX, diversity and inclusion, employment law, compensation, benefits, record keeping, privacy rights, employee relations and much more. The program will also allow participants to create a network of subject-matter experts as well as other University employees working in the HR area.

This is an 11-part program with a mix of classroom participation and online learning modules. Human Resources will offer the entire series of this program each semester. The classes do not need to be taken in order and any missing classes may be made up in the following semester.  Each session is offered once a week with this semester starting September 11th. Please register for all 11 sessions through the EDP Training Calendar at this link: https://edp.uark.edu/calendar/month.php. You will receive a Certificate of Achievement upon completion the program. Any questions can be addressed with Valerie Casey at valeriec@uark.edu or 5-6103.
