This Friday, Sept. 7, the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering will host Randy R. Price, adjunct assistant professor of biological and agricultural engineering at the Louisiana State University AgCenter, for a presentation about the new role of drones in agriculture.

The seminar will take place from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in White Engineering Hall Room 219.

Drones are a new research tool for farmers and consultants, and researchers believe many of their potential agricultural uses remain untapped. Price's presentation will discuss a variety of technologies currently under development for use in agriculture, as well as some still on the horizon.

The seminar is free and open to the public.
