Call for Nominations: Daniel E. Ferritor Award for Departmental Excellence in Teaching

The Office of the Provost and the University of Arkansas Teaching Academy are pleased to issue a call for nominations for the 2019 Daniel E. Ferritor Award for Departmental Excellence in Teaching, named in honor of Daniel E. Ferritor who served as Chancellor of the University of Arkansas from 1986 to 1997 and as interim chancellor in 2015.

The annual award honors the academic unit that best exemplifies a sustained, department-wide commitment to teaching excellence for all students.  The winning department will receive $10,000 and a trophy, as well as having the unit name placed on a travelling university plaque housed in that department for one year.

Complete application instructions are posted on the Faculty Development and Enhancement website.

Departmental applications are due no later than Friday, Dec. 14. The formal presentation of the award will be made during Faculty Appreciation Week next April.
