The University of Arkansas Police Department and local vendors of scooters, mopeds and motorcycles will offer safety tips from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24, at The Gardens on Razorback Road.

 

The event is part of the National Campus Safety Awareness Month, and all are welcome to attend.

Representatives of Harley-Davidson will provide motorcycle safety tips focusing on protective equipment, training and experience. Moped-U and ScootTribe will provide information about safety equipment and vehicle security for mopeds and scooters.

The Bikes, Blues and Barbeque begins in Fayetteville next week, and UAPD will provide information about state and local "rules of the road" for motorcycles, mopeds and scooters. The department will also have its electric patrol motorcycle, "Zero," on display.
