FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Chancellor Joe Steinmetz will discuss the university’s current status, new initiatives and look to the future in his annual State of the University address at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, at the Faulkner Performing Arts Center.

"I believe this is a great place to be right now,” said Chancellor Steinmetz. “I’m highly encouraged by what’s happening on our campus and where we’re going. I look forward to sharing more information about our key initiatives and what’s to come in the next year.”

The address is open to the public. A livestream of the address and later a recorded version will also be available at the University of Arkansas YouTube channel.

The State of the University address will be the highlight of One University Week, Oct. 1-5, which will also feature an academic update from the provost as well as information about the U of A’s vision and mission statement and messaging themes.
