Update webBASIS to Receive Project Communication

As IT projects such as Network Foundations move forward, communication is vitally important. Throughout the fall IT Services is sending out email to staff and faculty sharing details about network outages and upgrades for each building. In an effort to ensure everyone receives communication in advance of work, IT Services is asking staff and faculty to check webBasis to verify office locations are listed and up-to-date.

To update your office location, visit webBASIS and log in with your UARK account. Select 'My Personal Data', then 'Addresses, etc.' On this screen, you can enter your building code and room number.

"We send notifications to building residents using email addresses pulled from BASIS for each of the 160 buildings where network upgrades are scheduled," said Chris Butler, director of communications for IT Services. "We depend on the campus community to update their location so we know who has the potential to be impacted by this work."

The Achieve IT: Network Foundations project is modernizing the University of Arkansas network by replacing and upgrading the wired and wireless network to provide greater reliability and mobility. At completion, the campus network will be prepared to handle the growing needs of our students, faculty and staff for years to come.
