FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – There are many organizations working to improve lives and help solve community problems in Northwest Arkansas, and not all of them are among the 31 agencies directly funded by the United Way of Northwest Arkansas. It is possible to give to any of these other organizations, quickly, conveniently and securely – through the U of A United Fund campaign.

“I know that the issue of homelessness is a major concern in Fayetteville – and all of Northwest Arkansas, and has received a great deal of publicity lately,” said Chris McCoy, chairman of the U of A United Fund campaign. “There are several organizations working hard to address this issue in a variety of ways – from providing or helping find shelter to providing meals to helping find jobs. If you want to donate to one of these organizations you can do so, using your U of A United Way donor card, or our secure only donation site.”

Anyone making a donation of $100 or more can designate that the gift go to any specific agency or program that has offical 501c3 status, as defined by the IRS, and is serving people in Northwest Arkansas. The full donation can be sent through the U of A United Way donor card or online, or, even more conveniently, U of A faculty or staff can use the payroll deduction option to have the donation spread out over time. The full donation will be sent directly to the designated organization.
