Transit and Parking Has New Promotion, New Maps, Added Website

Students who follow Transit and Parking on social media could win a $100 discount on their parking permit.

Students who follow Transit and Parking on social media could win a $100 discount on their parking permit.

The Transit and Parking Department at the University of Arkansas has several endeavors in the works to better connect with students and employees:

  • An upcoming drawing will be held in which 10 different students will win $100 off of their parking permits for the school year. To be eligible to win, a student must follow Transit and Parking on social media. The department is on Facebook/UATandP; Instagram@UATandP; and Twitter@UATandP.

The winners will be selected on Halloween on Wednesday, Oct. 31.

Also, the department recently printed 4,000 hard copies of fold-out maps that show all of the parking areas on campus.

The most current map is always available online at parking.uark.edu/parkmap.pdf, but some individuals still prefer looking at a paper copy.

In the past, enough paper maps were printed so that everyone on campus could have one, but it proved to be wasteful. This year, a limited number of copies were printed for those who request a copy. The maps are available at the Transit and Parking office at 155 S. Razorback Road.

In addition, the department is beginning a WordPress website with helpful and entertaining features, photos, and information about the department, about campus events, and on topics of general interest. The site is called Talk T&P, and more information about it will be coming this week, as the department publicly launches the site. The Talk T&P site will not replace the regular departmental website, which remains available at parking.uark.edu.
