FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Fayetteville Policies and Procedures online resource includes all campus and academic policies as well as links to UA System policies and Board of Trustees policies.

“It is important for everyone on campus to be familiar with University of Arkansas policies and procedures – and to know where to find them for a quick reference when necessary,” said Chris McCoy, vice chancellor for finance and administration. “The website is a handy resource anyone can use, and is particularly helpful for policies that people have questions about or that have recently changed.”

There are several policies that faculty, staff and students frequently ask about:

Use of University Facilities and Outdoor Space

This policy broadly addresses permissible use and reservation processes for university facilities and outdoor space, including a link to a reservation form for outdoor space.

Engaging in Political Activity

These policies particulary refer to U of A employees, who, as citizens, have the right to engage in political activity. However, no employee may involve the institution's name, symbols, property, or supplies in political activities. Other applicable policies can be found at:

Protection of Minors on Campus

This policy summarizes important steps to protect children on campus or participating in programs that may be connected with the university, and to comply with applicable legal requirements and institutional policies. These address reporting requirements, background checks and training requirements, including for camps and similar programs.

Weapons Policy

This policy has been updated and revised to reflect the Arkansas Campus Concealed Carry law adopted in 2017 and to incorporate by reference UA System Policies and Procedures 290.1. The policy also now contains an appendix listing excluded locations for campus concealed carry.

In addition, the university has created an online resource focused on concealed carry on campus including frequently asked questions by members of the campus community.
