Town Hall Overview and Demo of New Phone System, Nov. 14

The Achieve IT: Unified Collaboration project will introduce a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) solution to replace the current phone system at the University of Arkansas. To ensure the campus is informed in advance, the project team will hold a town hall meeting at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, in the auditorium of Vol Walker Hall.

During this event, the team will give an overview of the project, which is expected to begin in February 2019. Attendees will also have an opportunity to ask questions and take part in hands-on demonstrations of the new VoIP phones.

This is the first of many campus engagement opportunities related to this important project. A number of drop-in opportunities to try the new VoIP phones are also planned, including:

  • Thursday, Nov. 29, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Arkansas Union Tech Spot Computer Lab
  • Friday, Nov. 30, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., TIPS Center in Gibson Annex
  • Wednesday, Dec. 12, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Arkansas Union Tech Spot Computer Lab

No online broadcast is available for this first town hall in the hopes that campus will join in person to see the new phones and hear directly from the project team. Streaming will be available for future events.
