Transit and Parking Modifies Schedules for Thanksgiving Week
Things on campus can be slow on the day after Thanksgiving, but parking requirements are still in place on that day.
On the Friday after Thanksgiving, Nov. 23, several parking regulations will still be in place at the University of Arkansas.
While the university will be closed on that day, any motorist on campus cannot park in a way that blocks a drive or in any place that is clearly not designated for parking. In addition, motorists must not park in designated athletic parking areas when those areas are needed for games, even on a day in which the university is closed.
In the coming days there are home basketball games on Wednesday, Nov. 21, and Friday, Nov. 23.
Here are the details for each day of Thanksgiving break:
- Wednesday, Nov. 21 – Razorback Transit will be running non-peak weekday service from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. There will be no night service.
- Thursday, Nov. 22 – On Thanksgiving Day there is no Razorback Transit bus service and the university is closed.
- Friday, Nov. 23 – As mentioned, specific parking regulations will be enforced on campus. Permit-specific requirements are not monitored, but all motorists must still adhere to the requirements mentioned above, even on days in which the university is closed.
- Nov. 22-25 – Razorback Transit will be closed. There will be no buses running on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. (Ordinarily buses run on Saturdays, but not on Thanksgiving weekend).
- Nov. 21-25 – Safe ride will be closed.
