Second Annual Crime Scene Competition

The University of Arkansas chapter Alpha Upsilon Beta of Lambda Alpha Epsilon, the national criminal justice fraternity, is sponsoring a CSI competition and guest speaker event from 2-6 p.m. this Friday, Nov. 30, in the Arkansas Union Rooms 503-504. This is the second annual event for the group.

While student teams are competing in the CSI competition, there will be guest speakers from Fayetteville Police Department and the Washington County Coroner's Office. The speaker event is open to all students on campus, and all are welcome to come and learn about the criminal justice system and criminal investigation.

The competition is open to student teams and all students are welcome to compete. There is no need to have crime scene investigation experience, just the desire to learn and have fun. Teams should be 3-5 students. Teams will be rotating into the competition every 30 minutes.

Light snacks will be provided.

Schedule:

• 2-5 p.m. – Teams compete
• 2-3 p.m. – Fayetteville Police Department and Sgt. French
• 3:30-4:30 p.m. – Roger Morris, Washington County coroner
• 5:30 p.m. – Awards, mock CSI explanation and questions
