Town Hall Overview and Demo of New Phone System

IT Services will introduce a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) solution to replace the current phone system at the University of Arkansas. To ensure the campus is informed in advance, the project team will hold a third town hall meeting at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, in Arkansas Union room 504.

During this event, the team will give an overview of the project, which is expected to begin in February 2019. Attendees will also have an opportunity to ask questions and take part in hands-on demonstrations of the new VoIP phones.

In order to ensure a successful switch to VoIP, it is vitally important to collect accurate information about each phone currently in use on campus by completing a 2-minute survey for your phone. If you have already been contacted regarding this, you do not need to submit your phone information again.

Additional phone demonstration events are scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Tech Spot in the Arkansas Union on the following dates:

  • Wednesday, Jan. 23
  • Tuesday, Jan. 29
