Spots Still Available for Health Center's Women's Self-Defense Class

Pat Walker Health Center's Wellness & Health Promotion department is offering a women's self-defense course. This eight-week course, which begins Thursday, Feb. 7, is held Thursday evenings at 6 p.m. in the health center, room 2132.

Participants can expect to learn a variety of basic self-defense moves that focus on defending the most common attacks such as wrist grabs, choke holds, hair pulls and more. Participants will also learn body mechanics and situational awareness.

Registration for the course is required. The cost of the program is $30 for students and $40 for faculty/staff. No prior experience required.
