This is the first time the pantry has been refurbished since opening on campus in 2011.

The Jane B Gearhart Full Circle Food Pantry will hold a grand reopening at 3 p.m. today, Thursday, Feb. 7

In December the pantry closed for remodeling, which increased its storage capacity by nearly 40 percent and updated several features. The space reopened last month and will hold a ribbon-cutting and tour to celebrate the remodel and the eighth anniversary of the pantry's founding on Thursday.

Full Circle, which began in 2011, offers assistance to students, faculty, staff and their families who are facing food insecurity or in need of supplemental food. The student-run program strives to meet the nutritional needs of the University of Arkansas community so its members can fully focus on their education.

Join Full Circle tomorrow for a ribbon-cutting and an open house for anyone interested in learning more about the history and work of this vital campus resource. The pantry is located at 324 Stadium Drive on the UA campus.

The pantry board will also host an interest session that evening at 5 p.m. for students who would like to learn more about joining the Full Circle team. Board applications are available now on the Volunteer Action Center's page of HogSync.
