McIlroy Professor and Music Host 'Gospel Fest' at 7:30 Tonight
Join the Department of Music and Al Bell, the 2018-19 McIlroy Family Visiting Professor in Visual and Performing Arts, for a special, one-night event, Gospel Fest. The event includes Arkansas-based gospel quartet The Racy Brothers with guests Bishop Kenneth Robinson and Chosen. The University of Arkansas Inspirational Chorale, under the direction of Jeffrey Murdock, will open for the fest with a full-choir performance of gospel music. Come enjoy a night of amazing music!

Tickets can be found at Eventbrite ($10 general admission) and UA students get in for free with their university ID.
The Racy Brothers will also offer a free improv masterclass at 3:30pm in the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall. This workshop is open to all musicians interested in vocal and instrumental improv, collaboration, and connection in performance. The workshop is free and open to the public.
Gospel Fest will be high energy and full of inspirational music for all audiences. The partnership between University of Arkansas Music and Mr. Bell as the McIlroy Professor has brought exciting music acts to Northwest Arkansas and collaborations on and off campus. In addition to performances, the partnership is situated around a new development of music industry and performing arts education working to bridge traditional teaching in a music school and the professional world of music.
