NSSLHA Chapter to Host 'Kisses For a Cause' Puppy Kissing Booth Fundraiser
The University of Arkansas Chapter of the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association will be hosting its first Valentine's Day themed fundraising event called Kisses for a Cause.
The organization will have a puppy kissing booth outside the Union where students and faculty may pay $1 to pet, play with, take pictures, and be kissed by a puppy.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the Arkansas Children's Hospital Northwest Speech Pathology Department. This department treats children with a multitude of speech, language, feeding, and swallowing disorders, including: oral-pharyngeal dysphagia, resonance disorders, voice disorders, stuttering, apraxia, and language-based learning problems. In addition to this, the department also provides evaluation and treatment for speech and language problems for children with hearing loss, including children with cochlear implants.
