Fayetteville Policies and Procedures: New Policy and Revisions

The Fayetteville campus has adopted a new policy:

The following Fayetteville Policy and Procedures have been revised:

  • 214.1 Discrimination (Including Discriminatory Harassment) - Employment, Education, Programs and Services
    • The purpose of this revision is threefold:
      1. To better calibrate the existing policy to federal requirements about discrimination and discriminatory harassment
      2. To provide clarity and definition based on feedback and requests by units on campus and give supervisors the ability to address issues that may not be explicit violations of policy, but are not appropriate
      3. To embed some new agency disclosure requirements that have been added in the past 6 months or so and are anticipated to be in effect this month on the federal level.
  • 401.0 Advertising of University Positions
    • This policy has been updated to create a more efficient process for recruiting staff employees. For staff positions, the minimum posting time requirement for external job postings has been decreased, and the minimum posting time requirement for internal job postings has been increased. This harmonizes the posting time requirement to seven calendar days for both external and internal staff job postings.

The following Policy Document has also been revised:

All policies may be viewed on the web at Fayetteville Policies and Procedures.
