Guest Lecturer to Discuss Teacher Retirement Plans

The Department of Education Reform continues its lunch lecture series with a look at teacher retirement plans at noon Friday, April 5.
Chad Aldeman, principal at Bellwether Education Partners for its Policy and Thought Leadership team, will speak on "Social Security, Teacher Pensions and the 'Qualified' Retirement Plan Test" in Room 343 of the Graduate Education Building on University of Arkansas campus.
The hourlong program begins at noon and includes a light lunch for those who register online. The 2018-19 lecture series is detailed on its page on the department's website.
Aldeman also serves as editor for TeacherPensions.org. Previously, he was a policy adviser in the Office of Planning, Evaluation and Policy Development at the U.S. Department of Education, according to the Bellwether website. He has a Master of Public Policy from the College of William and Mary and a bachelor's degree from the University of Iowa.
Bellwether is based in the Boston area with a Washington, D.C., office.
