TIAA and University of Arkansas Human Resources Make Donation to Full Circle Food Pantry

Join TIAA and University of Arkansas Human Resources in the Arkansas Union Living Room between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. today as they present a check for $5,000 to the Jane B. Gearhart Full Circle Food Pantry. The check presentation will be between 11:15 and 11:30 a.m.

All University of Arkansas campuses participated in a contest to determine which campus has the highest percentage of correct answers on a Financial IQ Challenge. According to a TIAA spokesperson, the lead changed several times. Monticello came out with an early lead, then Medical Sciences took the lead and held on to it for the majority of the time. At the last second, and by 2 hundredths of a percent, the Fayetteville campus pulled into the lead.

"We would like to thank our faculty and staff for rising to the Financial IQ Challenge and allowing UA-Fayetteville to win a charitable donation of $5,000 for the Jane B. Gearhart Full Circle Food Pantry," said Debbie McLoud, associate vice chancellor of human resources at the University of Arkansas. "We would also like to thank TIAA for giving us the opportunity to give back to our campus community."

Human Resources chose the campus food pantry as the recipient of the $5,000 charitable donation because of how it directly benefits faculty, staff and students.

Come to the Arkansas Union for the celebration between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Have a cupcake and meet TIAA campus Representatives as well.
