FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – University of Arkansas graduating students, their parents, family and friends can now get complete updated information about the Spring Commencement ceremonies with an app for their mobile phones.

The new mobile guide from the Office of the Registrar can answer questions about the commencement ceremonies, including schedules, parking maps, speakers — even the names of all the prospective graduates.

Students can also use the app for details about when and where to report on the day of their ceremony.

The U of A Graduation app can be downloaded at Google Play or Apple.

Anyone who can’t attend the commencement can still watch any ceremony: They will all be streamed live on the University of Arkansas YouTube Channel.

Commencement security

Normal security precautions will be taken at each of the commencement locations. All guests attending a ceremony will be required to pass through a security checkpoint. Cameras and personal items such as handbags will be inspected. Please allow extra time for this process.

Please do not bring large umbrellas, baggage, balloons, wrapped packages, backpacks, strollers or noise-makers to the ceremony. Compact umbrellas will be allowed.

Tickets are not required and there is general seating within each arena.

Free parking is available in the general parking lots on campus, and additional parking is available for people with disabilities. This map shows parking lots near the commencement locations.  

Reserved seating is available for people who have mobility issues at all commencement locations.

Free parking will be available after 2 p.m. in the campus parking lots near Bud Walton Arena.

Parking for people with disabled parking permits is available in Lot 60.

Drop-off is available for people with mobility issues at the south entrance to the arena.
