U of A Offers Professionals Training Events to Prep For Human Resource Certification Exams

Human resource professionals can attend a free information session Aug. 1 to learn about globally recognized human resource certifications and three fall training events to prepare them for certification exams. Training sessions will be offered in Rogers and Little Rock, as well as online.

University of Arkansas Professional and Workforce Development will offer the information session from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Aug. 1 online or in a classroom at the Global Campus in Rogers, 3300 Market St. Participants can sign-up online.

Participants will learn about the 2019 Society of Human Resource Management Learning System for SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certifications and the fall training courses to help professionals prepare for the exams. Training events include:

• Aug. 29 to Dec. 19 — 16-Week Training Session: Classes run from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursdays. Study online or in a classroom in Rogers or in a classroom in Little Rock. Prepare for SHRM certification exams and update your knowledge about the latest laws and trends in human resource management. The cost is $1,299 and includes a textbook, the SHRM Body of Competency and Knowledge.
• Nov. 5 to 8 — 1-Week Bootcamp: Classes run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Study online or in a classroom in Rogers to prepare for SHRM certification exams and update human resource knowledge. The cost is $1,299 and includes a textbook, the SHRM Body of Competency and Knowledge.
• Sept. 28 — 1-Day Micro Session: This fast-paced class, set for 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., will help professionals understand key concepts and ideas that are covered in SHRM certification exams. This course is for professionals who already own a SHRM Learning System, have studied on their own, or have already completed the SHRM Learning System course but did not sit for, or did not pass, the exam. The cost is $199 and is available online or in person at the Global Campus in Rogers.

These training events are offered in partnership with the Society for Human Resource Management, the Arkansas State Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (ARSHRM), the Northwest Arkansas Human Resources Association (NOARK), and the Central Arkansas Human Resources Association (CAHRA).
