A-Week Aims to Assist in Transition and Success of Newest Razorbacks
University of Arkansas

A-Week is the the newest campus-wide student transition initiative from New Student and Family Programs.

A-Week — Aug. 19-25 — is designed to aid incoming first-year students in their transition from high school to college by providing programming focused on student success inside and outside of their classroom experience. The initiative was also designed to coincide with topics covered in Destination Arkansas Blackboard Activities (DABA).

A-Week begins at the conclusion of first-year student move-in and is filled with events and activities that will provide a great foundation for their U of A experience. Incoming students are being placed in A-Teams led by upper-class mentors who will lead them in discussions and events related to program topics throughout the week.

A-Week Themes

  • Monday, Aug. 19 - Welcome to the U of A
  • Tuesday, Aug. 20 - Spirit and Traditions
  • Wednesday, Aug. 21 - Wellness
  • Thursday, Aug. 22 - Diversity and Inclusion
  • Friday, Aug. 23 - Engagement
  • Saturday, Aug. 24 - Community
