AccessABLE: Arkansas' First Disability Resource Group for Faculty and Staff Is Looking for Members
AccessABLE, the University of Arkansas' first faculty and staff disability resource group is proud to announce its launch into the fall 2019 semester. Established under the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, AccessABLE aims to be the "go-to" resource for faculty, staff and community partners who wish to engage in issues related to disability, equity and inclusion.
As a team, AccessABLE will work to address issues facing students and employees with disabilities, provide opportunities for equal access and participation, and strengthen the dialogue surrounding disability awareness and studies on the U of A campus.
AccessABLE is open to all faculty and staff, including graduate and teaching assistants, at the U of A, and community partners. You do not have to identify as an individual with a disability to join — allies are welcome!
AccessABLE meets every first Tuesday of the month at 1 p.m. in the Multicultural Center (ARKU 403). The group's next meeting is set for Tuesday, Oct. 1.
