Free Game Day Parking for Bicycles

Free Game Day Parking for Bicycles
UA Office for Sustainability

The University of Arkansas Office for Sustainability and VeoRide continue to grow the free bike valet parking service at all home Razorbacks Football Games. The bike valet is located on the south side of the Arkansas Union and makes getting to the game easy, fun and free.

This Saturday's game against San Jose State will kick off at 6:30 p.m. With the evening start time, free bike lights will be provided to ensure everyone can ride home safely after dark. Free beverages and snacks are also given out to cyclists upon arrival.

How does the bike valet work? It works much like a coat check service. The customer leaves their bike with an attendant, the bike is then tagged with a matching ticket that the customer receives and holds onto until they return to pick up their bike. The valet service will be available 90 minutes before kickoff — giving you plenty of time to enjoy yourself before the game kicks off. Bikes will be kept secure during the game and will be available to pick-up until one-hour after the game.

This program is just one of many reasons that the University of Arkansas has been designated as a Bicycle Friendly University by the League of American Bicyclists.

The mission of the Uof A Office for Sustainability is to motivate, facilitate and coordinate responsible practices through partnerships with students, faculty and staff across all campus departments. The OFS uses the campus as a living laboratory by overseeing the implementation of the University of Arkansas environmental goals. These programs are supported by the University of Arkansas Facilities Management Resiliency Center, and are part of the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design.
