Maritime Transportation Research and Education Center Request for Problem Statements
The Maritime Transportation Research and Education Center at the University of Arkansas is soliciting preliminary problem statements to request funding for research and education projects related to our center theme of Preserving the Nation's Transportation System through Efficient, Resilient, and Sustainable Maritime and Multimodal Logistics and Infrastructure.
Only faculty at the Fayetteville campus are eligible to respond to this request for problem statements.
The submission deadline is Oct. 23. Instructions and forms can be found at the link below on the MarTREC website.
MarTREC is a U.S. Department of Transportation Tier 1 University Transportation Center funded under the FAST Act through the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Research and Technology. The center is directed by Heather Nachtmann, who holds the Earl J. and Lillian P. Dyess Endowed Chair in Engineering and is a professor of industrial engineering.
The MarTREC consortium consists of the University of Arkansas (lead institution), Jackson State University, Louisiana State University, Texas A&M University/Texas Transportation Institute, University of New Orleans, and Vanderbilt University. Our vision is to be recognized as the Nation's premier source for expertise on maritime and multimodal transportation research and education.
