University of Arkansas staff members are able to purchase an annual UREC membership at a discounted rate during the month of October. With this offer, an annual membership is only $183.

Additionally, U of A staff may purchase a prorated fall semester membership for $34. The semester membership is valid through Dec. 22.

A UREC membership includes access to the HPER Building, the UREC Fitness Center in the Arkansas Union, and the UREC Sports Complex on Mitchell Street. Members have full access to: group fitness classes, two fitness centers, basketball courts, an Olympic sized swimming pool, personal training, intramural and club sports, outdoor adventure trips, gear rentals and more. Lockers are available to rent with a small charge per semester.

"We think this is a wonderful opportunity for those who have been curious about trying out our facilities and programs to get involved," said CT Erickson, assistant director for member engagement.

Members also have the option to have their membership dues deducted from their U of A paycheck. Payroll deduction gives members an easy and automated option for payment. To set up payroll deduction, visit the UREC main office (HPER 225) during business hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.
