Office of Planned Giving Receives Award at National Conference

The Office of Planned Giving in the Division of University Advancement received the Best GiftLegacy Literature Award at a recent conference in Chicago. They were chosen for the award based on "their beautifully branded suite of marketing materials," according to Crescendo, the host of the conference.
The office, represented by director of estate and gift planning George Lensing and supervisor Tammy Knowles, accepted the award at the annual Practical Planned Giving Conference on Sept. 23 and 24 in Chicago.
The Office of Planned Giving works extensively with Crescendo Interactive, an integrated marketing system, and University Relations at the U of A to generate their materials.
"George and Tammy have done an outstanding job working with Crescendo and the team in University Relations to create materials for our alumni and donors," said Jim Harris, associate vice chancellor of advancement. "Their work is an excellent example of how the Division of University Advancement collaborates to produce materials to reinforce the overall branding of the university. We appreciate Crescendo's recognition of this work and George and Tammy's representation of the university at the national conference."
Honorable mentions in the literature category went to the University of Miami and the Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary.
