Teacher Education Professor Robert Kunzman to Speak at U of A Friday at Noon

Robert Kunzman, a professor at the Indiana University School of Education, will speak at the University of Arkansas on Friday, Oct. 4, in a lecture titled, "Horace Mann's Nightmare? Searching for Ties that Bind."
The program will be at noon in room 343 of the Graduate Education Building. The Friday lecture series is hosted by the Department of Education Reform of the University of Arkansas College of Education and Health Professions.
Kunzman teaches in both Curriculum Studies and Philosophy of Education, as well as the Teacher Education minor. His courses include "What is a Good Education?" "Dialogue and Difference: Ethics, Religion, and Democracy in Education," and "Preservice Teacher Socialization."
Kunzman is the Martha Lea and Bill Armstrong Chair for Teacher Education, and oversees the Armstrong Teachers Program, which brings together exemplary teachers throughout the state of Indiana for professional development and mentorship. His scholarship examines the intersection of education, religion, and citizenship, particularly in the context of K-12 education in the United States.
Unless otherwise indicated, all lectures will be held at noon on Fridays in GRAD 343. Please make sure to RSVP before 1 p.m. on the Wednesday before the scheduled lecture.
