Digital Measures to Streamline Faculty Annual Review

Digital Measures is a web-based solution that allows faculty to view, enter and track their teaching, research and service activities. This central repository will streamline the personnel review process for annual faculty activity reports, promotion and tenure decisions. This powerful tool has been launched on campus as a collaboration between the Office of the Provost and IT Services.

With Digital Measures, faculty can record their accomplishments throughout the year in one place. They can also customize CVs, update bios with templates for NIH/NSF grants, and generate reports to highlight publications. Faculty can also run reports on courses taught in a term, credit hours generated, dissertation committees they chaired, and hours spent per term on university service. With all of this information in one place, the annual review process is simple and easy to complete.

Three colleges are ready to use Digital Measures to conduct their 2019 faculty annual review, including the College of Education and Health Professions, Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design, and the J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences. Starting next year, faculty annual review will be performed in Digital Measures for the School of Law, Mullins Library, College of Engineering, and Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences.

Training opportunities are ongoing. Faculty members can call 479-387-9235 to schedule an appointment. They can also receive training at Technology Innovation and Pedagogical Support (TIPS) at Gibson Annex Room 100 on the first Thursday of the month at 1:30 p.m. Visit its.uark.edu/digital-measures or contact digitalm@uark.edu for more information.
