Join the 2019 Homecoming Celebration

The 2019 University of Arkansas Homecoming Celebration will take place all this week. All members of the University of Arkansas family are welcome to attend events during the week-long celebration.

This year's theme is "Etched in Stone."

"Everyone knows that one of the unique traditions here at the U of A is Senior Walk," said Julia Rogers, director of Homecomin. "We all get our names etched in the stone sidewalks after we graduate, but most of us want to leave more than just our name behind — we want to leave a legacy."

The Arkansas Alumni Association and Student Alumni Board are excited to welcome alumni back to campus, teach current students about the rich tradition of Homecoming, and connect with the University of Arkansas family. Activities will be held throughout the week leading up to the Homecoming game on Saturday, November 2nd.

Homecoming is a long-standing tradition here at the University of Arkansas. The first Homecoming parade was November 16, 1922, with the U of A's semi-centennial celebration. Starting at the Fayetteville square, the parade included floats that represented five sororities as well as the Carnall Hall dormitory. As preparation for the Homecoming festivities, the City of Fayetteville paved Dickson Street and added streetlights! The first Homecoming Queen, Aliece McHenry, was a member of Delta Delta Delta and made the opening kick-off during the Homecoming football game. C.T. Smith, captain of the football team, then presented her with a large floral arrangement. The Razorbacks were victorious over the SMU Mustangs with a 9-0 win. To celebrate they concluded the evening by gathering on the Fayetteville Square for a Homecoming Pep Rally.

HOMECOMING PARADE and Pep Rally

Join your Razorback family in celebrating Homecoming. The Razorback Booster Club and Student Alumni Association invite students, alumni, and the Northwest Arkansas community to attend the annual Homecoming Pep Rally immediately following the Homecoming Parade.  The Homecoming Pep Rally will be at the Chi Omega Greek Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1. Enjoy performances by the Razorback Spirit Squads and Razorback Band!

During the Homecoming Pep Rally, we recognize former Homecoming Kings and Queens, Razorback Spirit Squad alumni, and Razorback Band alumni. Additionally, we will introduce the 2019 Homecoming Court and reveal your newest Homecoming Queen and King.
