Interdisciplinary Sustainability Minor Available to All University Students
Yvonne Ngome is minoring in sustainability.
Open to all undergraduate students at the University of Arkansas, the sustainability minor is an 18-credit program drawing from faculty and courses across all colleges and schools at the U of A. Because it is interdisciplinary, the minor enhances and reflects each student's individual academic and career interests.
The purpose of the minor in sustainability is to provide foundational knowledge and skills related to the emerging discipline of sustainability and to prepare students to become innovators within their diverse fields. In particular, students develop competencies in systems thinking, futures thinking, strategic thinking and ethical thinking, along with interpersonal skills that enhance their ability to use their major to create a better and more just world.
Among the top 10 minors on campus, more than 130 students are currently declared. Would you like to join them on this exciting journey?

For the spring 2020 semester, students should plan to enroll in SUST 1103, Foundations of Sustainability, which meets Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 9:40-10:30 a.m.
