Marjorie Pasch has been selected as Staff Member of the Quarter for the first quarter of fiscal year 2020 by the College of Engineering.

Pasch is the greater Memphis area site director for the Operations Management program. Operations Management is a graduate program that provides both classroom and online courses offered through the Department of Industrial Engineering.

Pasch, who has been with the Operations Management program for more than 10 years, is the main point of contact for more than 200 students in the Memphis area who participate in Operations Management program, and her role includes a wide variety of tasks to help students reach their goals.

From the recruitment phase to graduation, Pasch is the go-to person for students, advising them on courses, helping them navigate their path to graduation and solving whatever challenge they may be facing. Many of her students are military veterans and active-duty military members stationed at Naval Support Activity Mid-South, the Navy's main human resources center.
Carol Altom, assistant director of the Operations Management graduate program, said Pasch's dedication to student success shines through in her daily work.

"Marge's best attribute is her focus on students and their success through graduation," Altom said. "She is a student advocate in every way and it shows. Her students continually reach out to me and praise her work."

Pasch earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota in Music. After graduation, she and her husband joined the Navy Music program. The Navy took them on two tours in Millington, Tennessee, and both times Pasch worked for the University of Arkansas's M.S.O.M. program.
