Arkansas Dance Marathon Miracle Week total fundraising reveal in front of Old Main on Nov. 15.

Last week during Miracle Week, student group Arkansas Dance Marathon raised $9,083.74 for Arkansas Children's Northwest, celebrating on Saturday with a picnic with Arkansas Children's families.

"We fundraise during a push like this so that the kids fighting pediatric illness and injury at ACNW never have to fight alone," said Sydney Darling, director of Arkansas Dance Marathon.

Now in its third year, Saturday's annual fall picnic welcomed 7 Miracle Families. Students and families shared food, fun on the playground and a love for Arkansas Children's.

Arkansas Dance Marathon is one of over three hundred programs around the country that raises money for local Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Now in its sixth year, the Arkansas Dance Marathon has raised more than $200,000 for Arkansas Children's Northwest.

The Arkansas Dance Marathon raises funds through peer to peer fundraising throughout the year leading up to their biggest event, Dance Marathon on March 14. Dance Marathon is an eight hour event celebrating the kids and their families with games, entertainment, and food ending with the big reveal of the year-long fundraising total. Last year Arkansas Dance Marathon raised more than $50,000 for Arkansas Children's Northwest and this year is expected to raise more.
