Graduate School and International Education Names New Director of Communications

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Amy Unruh has joined the Graduate School and International Education as director of communications and director of registration, graduation and commencement. She will assist in the coordination of the all-university commencement and will direct strategic communications efforts, working with GSIE leaders to advance the school's objectives. She began her role Nov. 4.
"We are extremely pleased to have Amy as part of the GSIE team," said Patricia Koski, associate dean for the Graduate School and International Education. "Her experience with communications and a background in event planning made her a natural fit for the position. In the short time she has been with us it is clear she will quickly make a positive impact on our school,"
Unruh is a graduate of the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism and English. She will earn a Master of Arts in Journalism from the University of Arkansas in December 2019.
Prior to joining the Graduate School and International Education, Unruh worked in the U of A School of Journalism and Strategic Media and has experience as a wire service reporter and as a public relations coordinator. She is a member of the Lemke Journalism Alumni Society board.
