TIPS Center and Blackboard Administrator Staff Now in New Locations

Staff and services located at the TIPS Center in Gibson Annex will be relocated as of Tuesday, Dec. 3.

This relocation will help accommodate teaching needs on campus. The TIPS Center, including test scanning services, Blackboard and academic technology support, will continue to offer the same services from new locations on campus.

Scanning services will now be on the first floor of the Administrative Services Building (ADSB) on Razorback Road. To accommodate drop-offs, a new secure test drop-off location is available at the IT Services Help Desk in the Arkansas Union. Exams can be dropped off with an IT Services staff member between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Tests will be picked up twice daily for scanning.

Additionally, a 24-hour drop box is available in the ADSB vestibule. Please bring large batches of scantrons to the Arkansas Union or schedule a drop-off time by emailing scantron@uark.edu. Self-scanning services are still available throughout the semester, email scantron@uark.edu to schedule services.

For drop-in support and consultations, visit the TIPS staff in our new office in Mullins Library. The office will be located in Room 289, next to the Helen Robson Walton Reading Room. Members of the Global Campus TIPS team will be available for drop-in support from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Blackboard administrators, academic technology and research support teams will be on the second floor of ADSB.

"The TIPS team is dedicated to helping our instructors with teaching and learning. Our services and support are not changing and we are always happy to provide support for our campus," said Kathryn Zawisza, director of academic technology and innovation.
