Lindsey Aloia Guest Edits Southern Communication Journal

Lindsey S. Aloia, assistant professor in the Department of Communication and director of the Center for Communication Research, was recently named guest editor of the Special Issue of the Southern Communication Journal.
The issue is titled "(UN)COUPLING: the initiation, maintenance, and dissolution of romantic relationships" and features an introduction by Aloia and interpersonal communication research by scholars of the Southern States Communication Association.
The issue provides a selective review of current empirical research within the context of romantic relationships. Included research features a diverse array of theoretical perspectives, examining topical areas that both prompt and depress relational development at multiple stages of a relationship and considers how communication reflects and represents romantic associations.
