If you are enrolled in ENGL 1013 and 18 years or older, you may be eligible to participate in a research study examining how students interpret short stories.

The study will involve reading a short story, summarizing and interpreting it, and answering some questions about your exposure to literature. Participation will take less than one hour and you will be paid $10 for your time.

If you are interested in participating, please contact us through either of the following options:

  1. E-mail the Language Processing Lab at langlab@uark.edu
  2. Scan the QR code

A research assistant will contact you to verify your eligibility and to schedule a time for you to participate. Study appointments are available a variety of times during the school week. The study will take place in Memorial Hall, near the Pi Beta Phi gate on Maple Street.
