FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – University of Arkansas alumni Erron (B.A.'99, J.D.'02) and Libby (B.A.'99, M.A.T.'02) Smith of Rogers have established an endowed fund for the Arkansas Law Review in the School of Law. The gift will support the activities and growth of the publication such as program activities, publication costs, student support and other ventures that promote its success.

"For a long time, Libby and I have been looking for a meaningful opportunity to give back to the university, which has given so much to us and our family," Erron Smith said. "When the specific opportunity arose to make a gift to establish the Arkansas Law Review endowment, it felt like the perfect fit for us because my experience on the law review has been invaluable in shaping the trajectory of my career."

"We're thankful for donors like Erron and Libby and their support for one of the law school's core intellectual endeavors," said Dean Margaret Sova McCabe. "Alumni who participated in law review have a unique understanding of the high value our students receive from participating in this prestigious and important part of our program."

Friends and former members of the Arkansas Law Review may contribute to the fund through donations designated specifically to the endowment or by joining the Arkansas Law Review Academy at the life membership level.

"It's our hope that other alumni who have benefited from their law review experience and care deeply about the law school will join us in supporting the endowment to provide future editorial boards with the resources they need to make the Arkansas Law Review one of the most respected and influential legal journals in the country," Smith said.

The Arkansas Law Review Academy was established to fully fund the publication's general operations and provide the current members with a group of seasoned law review alumni readily available to answer questions and consult as needed.

As former law review members, these alumni understand the hard work and dedication it takes to complete each issue and value its contribution to the legal community. Memberships help support the publication of journals, organization of the annual symposium, coordination of the awards banquet and much more. Life and annual memberships opportunities are available.
