Campus Wi-Fi Issues Resolved
Creating a resilient and reliable Wi-Fi system is a top priority for IT Services.
IT Services is happy to announce a resolution to the intermittent Wi-Fi issues that began late last fall. All Wi-Fi systems continue to operate successfully and at full capacity.
During the first two weeks of the spring semester, IT Services worked with multiple vendors to monitor and maintain performance during peak demand. Finding a permanent solution required multiple network configuration adjustments, Wi-Fi traffic analysis and architecture improvements.
"Creating a resilient and reliable Wi-Fi system is a top priority for IT Services as we strive to support the ever-growing requirements and digital demands of our university," said Dinesh Hegde, associate chief information officer.
IT Services will continue to monitor and evaluate the wireless needs of this campus.
