West Point Economics Professor to Speak at the U of A on Feb. 21

Michael Kofoed, an assistant professor of economics at the United States Military Academy at West Point, will speak at the University of Arkansas on Friday, Feb. 21, in a lecture titled, "Army Enlistment and Free Community College: The Case of Tennessee Promise."
The program will be at noon in room 343 of the Graduate Education Building. The Friday lecture series is hosted by the Department of Education Reform of the University of Arkansas College of Education and Health Professions.
Kofoed's research interests include the economics of education, higher education finance, economics of financial aid, health economics and applied microeconometrics. He has a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Georgia and has taught economics at West Point since 2014.
