Vote for Your New Campus ID Card Design
Vote for your favorite new Campus ID card design.
The University of Arkansas is moving to a more technologically advanced ID card in the coming months, and students, faculty and staff can now vote on the new design.
The Campus Card Office has three designs for people to choose from. The card with the most votes will be chosen for the design of next ID Card. Vote for the campus ID card here.
"It's been about 10 years since we redesigned the card," said Kelley Line, director of the Campus Card Office. "So, as we move to a card with advanced technology, it's time to change the design as well."
The current ID cards use magstripe technology and the new card uses Near Field Communication (NFC). Magstripe cards need to be swiped and contact the card reader. NFC is a non-contact technology and allows data to be read by machines without contact.
"Moving to this card with NFC technology is a step we must take in order to move the campus to a mobile credential in the future," Line said.

Voting is now open and will remain open until 5 p.m. Friday, March 20.
