E-Scooter Program Expanded

VeoRide has introduced 250 new electric scooters to their micro mobility fleet serving the UA campus and Fayetteville. Veoride launched a fleet of 440 electric and non-electric bicycles in the fall of 2018. With the addition of e-scooters the company will now offer three mobility options for those wanting to get to and around campus.

The scooter sharing company Spin has operated a fleet of 250 e-scooters since November 2019 and will continue to operate on campus and in Fayetteville. Fayetteville ordinance limits the number of shared scooters to 500 community-wide. With Spin and Veoride both operating 250 e-scooters there will not be another increase in the number of e-scooters without City Council approval.

The City of Fayetteville has launched an online survey and interactive map to gauge public perceptions and opinions related to e-scooters. University affiliates are encouraged to participate on Speak Up Fayetteville.

The Campus Safety Office has online information on rules, etiquette and how to protect yourself and others while riding.
