COVID-19 And Your Mental Health

During this unprecedented and unique public health crisis, it is normal to experience a wide-range of emotions.

The COVID-19 outbreak creates a unique type of crisis that brings a great deal of uncertainty surrounding many aspects of daily life. This can understandably affect a person's mental health, even for those who haven't been exposed to the disease.

Pat Walker Health Center's Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) has put together some tips to help manage anxiety and maintain a positive outlook while we work to stop the spread.

CAPS Services Remain Available Through Telemental-Health

With the university moving to remote operations, CAPS has implemented telemental-health services to ensure students remain well-supported.
"CAPS remains committed to ensuring crucial mental health services are available for students when they need them," said Josette Cline, Ph.D., Director of CAPS. "We recognize we are all in unfamiliar terrain, but our goal remains the same - providing students with the tools and resources to be successful."

If you're having trouble managing your concerns on your own, please reach out to CAPS for help at 479-575-5276.
