CAPS Offering Daily Virtual Outreach Session

With the University of Arkansas adjusting to the new, online format, Pat Walker Health Center's Counseling & Psychological Services is finding new, innovative ways to engage with students about mental health.

Virtual Coffee Hour

CAPS has launched a new informal outreach initiative to give students the opportunity to chat virtually with a CAPS mental health clinician called "Virtual Coffee Hour."

Virtual Coffee Hour is held daily at 10 a.m. (CDT) and provides students an outlet to meet different CAPS staff, ask questions about what's on their mind, and engage in other topics including anxiety, fear, self-care, substance use, issues of diversity and others.

Note: Virtual Coffee Hour is not a form of clinical therapy, but an informal outreach event. Students can simply drop-in as needed.

Students do not need to enter their real name, or have to use their webcam when prompted to enter the Zoom meeting. Students can also just use the chat function to ask questions.
